Madikwe Game Reserve boasts the Big Five (including both black and white rhino) as well as the exceptionally rare and endangered wild dog, cheetah, both brown and spotted hyena. A multitude of plains game, including giraffe, eland, springbok, gemsbok, sable (first discovered scientifically in this area in 1836!!), springbok, klipspringer - to name a few - are certain to ensure new and varied sightings every day.
Madikwe Safari Lodge is located in the heart of the malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve, offering exceptional game viewing, simple yet sophisticated accommodation, refined service and unique regional cuisine. Three intimate camps feature a total of 20 suites, each with a sitting area, a bedroom with circular fireplace, a spacious dressing area with personal bar, an en suite bathroom with bath, indoor and outdoor shower and a private plunge pool.
Overlooking Madikwe’s game-filled plains, intimate sitting areas in all three camps feature shaded outdoor seating on expansive covered decks. There are fireplaces both inside and outdoors with pizza ovens for fun dining, book-filled libraries and a unique safari shop. A covered outdoor living room offers beanbags and cushions on the floor for casual relaxation. The nearby boma is the setting for starlit dinners.
