Mbuzi Mawe Camp is a Kiswahli name meaning "rock goat" or klipspringer, a small antelope typically found in the area. It is situated in the central area of the Serengeti in a wilderness zone off the normal tourist route in an undisturbed area of the park. It is also the only camp in the Serengeti where walking is permitted. This newly renovated permanent tented camp accommodates 40 guests with each luxury designed tent having ensuite facilities and a spacious veranda in front.
