Thuto Moutloatsi

From a young age Thuto had the privilege of enjoying the superb wildlife areas of Botswana as his father was directly involved with tourism and conservation. This led to a childhood interest and exposure to the secrets of the wild.

Continuing his education at Treverton College in the foothills of the majestic Drakensberg Mountains in neighboring South Africa, Thuto continued to fine tune and hone his natural bush skills and passion for the wilderness through hiking, walking trails and horse riding.

After school, he attended a full time Travel & Tourism course, also undertaking volunteer work at Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve before returning to Botswana. Beginning his career at Khama Rhino Sanctuary he quickly moved to Wilderness Safaris as a lodge guide within the Linyanti Concession, being part of the team for approximately 4 years.

Having an insatiable interest in the differing ecosystems of Botswana, Thuto joined the growing Explorations division in early 2006, enhancing his natural sense for guiding and his personable rapport with guests over a safaris duration. He is an entrenched and integral member of the Explorations team and is fast becoming a guide frequently requested by operators and repeat guests alike.
