Itinerary

• Day 01+02
• Depart on an overnight flight to Europe. Arrive in Europe. Continue onwards to Nairobi. Upon arrival this evening, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight Nairobi Serena Hotel.

• Day 03+04
• After breakfast you will depart with your group and take a leisurely drive north through rugged landscape, crossing the equator en route to Samburu National Reserve – which lies on the edge of the was semi-desert lands of Northern Kenya, arriving in time for lunch. After having lunch at your lodge, you will go on an afternoon game drive where you may discover the contrasts of the African skies and species of game seldom seen elsewhere. Next morning enjoy a full day of game viewing activities. 2 nights Samburu Simba Lodge.

• Day 05
• After breakfast you will depart with your group and drive to the Mt. Kenya National Park, reaching the small town of Nyeri in time for lunch and continue onto your lodge. Overnight Serena Mountain Lodge.

• Day 06
• This morning drive down through the Rift Valley, past the northern tip of the Aberdares mountains and descend into the Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game viewing around the lakeshore where there is a huge concentration of flamingo, and a black rhino sanctuary. Overnight Sarova Lion Hill Lodge.

• Day 07+08
• After breakfast, depart to the Masai Mara, land of the Masai; cattle herding people. Lunch and afternoon game drive through the endless grasslands and acacia woodlands. Here, you may encounter enormous herds of zebra and wildebeest, as well as numerous antelope, buffalo, giraffe, elephant and lion. You will have an excellent chance of seeing cheetah, the elusive leopard and endangered black rhino. Following day you will enjoy a morning and afternoon game drives in the Mara. An optional balloon safari can be arranged this morning. 2 nights Mara Serena Safari Lodge.

• Day 09
• After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled charter flight to Nairobi. Transfer to your hotel where you will have the evening at leisure. Overnight The Serena Hotel.

• Day 10-12
• This morning you will be transferred to the airport for your scheduled flight to Cairo. On arrival you will be met by a representative and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy 2 full days of activities: Visit to Pyramids of Giza with entrance Cheops and the Sphinx, Menphis and Sakkarra. You will drive through old Cairo and the old Bazaar for sightseeing and shopping. 3 nights Mena House Oberoi.

• Day 13+14
• Transfer to the Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor where you will board your boat for the Nile cruise. After check-in and lunch, you will visit the Karnak and Luxor Temples - a holy city built over the centuries and dedicated to the God Amon-Ra, his consort, and their son Khonsu. Next morning you will cross the Nile by ferryboat to Luxor's West Bank - Thebes. Sightseeing includes the Valley of the Kings, and the Valley of the Queens. This afternoon set sail to Esna. 2 nights Nile Cruise Ship.

• Day 15+16
• This morning you will visit Esna Temple and onward to Edfu where you visit Edfu's Temple of Horus (built in 237BC), to honor the Falcon God. Sail to Kom Ombo. Next morning you will visit Kom Ombo to see the temple with its beautiful murals and exceptional view of the river Nile. Continue to Aswan where you visit the High Dam, Unfinished Obelisk and Philae Temple. Overnight on the boat in Aswan. 2 nights Nile Cruise Ship.

• Day 17
• Enjoy breakfast onboard. Visit the Botanical Gardens by way of a felucca. Continue to the airport for your scheduled flight to Cairo. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. You may like to have dinner this evening at the top of the Tower. Overnight Intercontinental Semiramis Nile Hotel.
