Joy’s Camp
Joy’s Camp is found at Joy Adamson’s original campsite in Shaba. The camp has 10 individual tents set on permanent structures, overlooking a wonderful spring that is the area’s main watering hole for all the game. The beautiful views of Shaba hills and horizons glow red in the sunset. The camp has four spacious twins and six large doubles. Each 260 sq ft tent is uniquely decorated with Bedouin Somali cloth design, creating a chic, sophisticated and stylish camp and includes a veranda, which is ideal for private game viewing. ents are en suite with a private dressing area, bathroom, flushing toilet, double basin and lounge area. The main dining and living area is designed following a similar theme.
Activities include game drives in four-wheel drive vehicles, night game drives, escorted bush walks along Eyaso Nyiro River, bush meals, sundowners and cultural visits.
