An extremely luxurious lodge or permanent tented camp (five-star) with superb cuisine and excellent service, swimming pool and, many of them, with a private “plunge” pool (small swimming pool) for each chalet or tent. Lodges and chalets are air-conditioned, while the tents may be air-conditioned or fan-cooled.
Angama Mara is located on the edge of the Ololoolo Escarpment, seemingly floating above the Maasai Mara. Access to the prime game-viewing area is just a short descent on a private track. The lodge is split into two separate camps, maintaining an intimate experience with just 15 tents in each camp. Tented suites have endless views and floor-to-ceiling glass windows, polished wood floors, tasteful furnishings and decadent linens. Enjoy the swimming pool, library, fitness center, curio shop and optional spa treatments (additional fees apply). Activities include game drives into the Mara Triangle and walking safaris on the Escarpment. Limited night game drives and community visits can be arranged.
