Elephant Pepper Camp
Elephant Pepper Camp is a seasonal permanent tented camp situated on the northern edge of the Maasai Mara. Each of the ten tents has an en suite bathroom with running water and veranda. Elephant Pepper Camp brings safaris back to nature: no generator, no traffic, no permanent structures obstructing your view, just the sights and sounds of the African bush. The safari camp has been created with that "Out of Africa " feel. You are looked after by attentive staff who will prepare sumptuous meals and offer your favorite "sundowner" cocktail. Every comfort is assured, your every need catered for. Yet, at the end of the season, there is no sign that man has disturbed the serenity of the surroundings.
The camp is located in the middle of the 2,235 square miles protected Koyaki wilderness area, away from other lodges. Looking from the camp across the plains one can see the ‘greatest game show on earth’ when the annual wildebeest migration thunders past to seek new grazing in the lush savannahs of the Maasai Mara. Activities include extended game drives each day in 4X4 vehicles, walks with Maasai, some night game drives, bush breakfast, picnics and sundowners. An optional balloon flight and day trip to Rusinga Island (Lake Victoria) can be arranged at extra cost.
