Gondwana Family Lodge

Vintage A lodge or tented camp with very good food and service, and many have swimming pools. The rooms/tents are of good size but perhaps not as large as "Classic" properties. Facilities could be "Classic," but located in a sub-standard game viewing area.

Gondwana Family Lodge is located on the malaria-free Sanbona Game Reserve, overlooking Bellair Dam. Resembling a traditional thatched Karoo homestead, the lodge features 12 luxury suites each with air-conditioning, under floor heating, mini-bar, tea/coffee making facilities, electronic safe, en suite bathroom with twin vanities and shower and private deck or balcony with views over the plains. The suites are ideal for families and can accommodate two adults and one child sharing; four of the rooms are inter-connecting so a larger family can be next door to each other.

The main lodge area features a lounge, bar, fireplace, swimming pool and open-air boma for dinners. The Spa offers a variety of treatments and massages (additional charges apply). Children are welcome and they have a dedicated play room. Activities include morning and sundowner game drives, guided nature walk and Sanbona boat safari.
