Laba Jongomero Camp

Vintage A lodge or tented camp with very good food and service, and many have swimming pools. The rooms/tents are of good size but perhaps not as large as "Classic" properties. Facilities could be "Classic," but located in a sub-standard game viewing area.

Laba Jongomero Camp is located in Ruaha National Park, one of the last true wildernesses in Africa. The closest camp is 25 miles away, ensuring an exclusive game viewing experience. The newly renovated camp has been refurbished in March 2023. It features eight large, well-appointed tented suites, each built on a raised wooden platform under thatched roofing. The en suite bathroom has dual vanities, flush toilet and large shower with solar-heated water. Relax on your spacious private deck overlooking the dry riverbed. The main lounge sits on the dry river bank and includes the bar and restaurant, where you will dine al fresco on the large terrace. Between game activities, relax by the pool or one of the inviting shaded areas.

Game activities are varied and include game drives in open-sided vehicles with a maximum of four seats, guided game walks and birding. Don’t miss the thrill of fly camping where you have the opportunity for a full day walking safari ending with sleeping under the stars (offered from mid-July-Nov, needs to pre-booked).
