A deluxe lodge or tented camp, almost all with swimming pools, excellent food and service, large nicely appointed rooms or tents with comfortable beds and tasteful decor; most of the lodges have air-conditioning and the tents are usually fan-cooled.
Lion Camp is located in the heart of the South Luangwa National Park. Built on the banks of a lagoon, which has water year-round, the camp overlooks open grassland and attracts animals throughout the day and night. Nine canvas and thatch chalets are built on raised wooden platforms and linked by wooden boardwalk. Each chalet features en suite bathroom with shower and flush toilet and a private deck that overlooks the plains. The main area includes a central lounge, fireplace, library and small gift shop. An infinity pool with lounge chairs and expansive deck invite guests between game drives. Activities include open-vehicle land rovers and guided walking safaris.
