Meno a Kwena
Meno a Kwena Tented Camp is located on the western boundary of the Makgadikgadi National Park. The camp offers views over the Boteti River where hundreds of zebras come to drink at the waterhole below the lodge. Translated from Setswana, Meno A Kwena means ‘Teeth of the Crocodile’. Accommodations include eight Meru walk-in tents, each with en suite bathroom, flush toilet and authentic safari shower. The main tent comprises the lounge area, library, bar and kitchen. The camp boasts a unique Boteti rock pool made out of the local calcrete and silcrete bedrock from the riverbed.
The Central Kalahari Game Reserve, Nxai Pans National Park and and the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans are approximately two hours drive away. The camp is also close to the Moreomaoto Village. Activities are varied and include game drives, walking safaris, star gazing and visits to the local community.
