Okonjima Bush Camp
The Okonjima Bush Camp is located 3 kilometers from the main lodge and features eight luxury, thatched African-style chalets. Each chalet has a queen size bed and a ¾ bed, mini-bar, in-room safe and private deck area to enjoy the view. There is a swimming pool, reception area, curio shop and lounge with fire places all overlooking a waterhole.
Okonjima is a remote guest farm on a private nature reserve, run by the Hanssen family. With its scenic location it is an excellent and relaxing place to end your safari. There are some good walks and the bird life in the area is particularly good. Learn about the Africats project, which gives you excellent opportunities to photograph cheetah and leopard and other species. Optional excursions include: Cheetah tracking on foot with telemetry equipment to monitor project animals, visiting the orphaned cats at The AfriCat Foundation, Leopard trails (leopard viewing is not guaranteed), Guided & Self-Guided Nature Trails, and Nocturnal & Bird hides can be visited throughout their stay
