A deluxe lodge or tented camp, almost all with swimming pools, excellent food and service, large nicely appointed rooms or tents with comfortable beds and tasteful decor; most of the lodges have air-conditioning and the tents are usually fan-cooled.
Phinda Mountain Lodge has 25 spacious suites with private facilities and overhead fans. The common guest areas have been completely transformed into a u-shaped building with shaded courtyard. The terraces offer views of the surrounding Ubombo Mountains. Pan-African cuisine is served on the deck or in the boma. Private breakfasts and dinners can be arranged in unique bush locations. The lodge has a new gift shop, library, open-air boma, and swimming pool.
The lodge is within Phinda Private Game Reserve, located in the lush Maputaland region in northern KwaZulu-Natal. Activities include game viewing by vehicle, boat cruises, black rhino tracking at Mkuze and game walks.
