An extremely luxurious lodge or permanent tented camp (five-star) with superb cuisine and excellent service, swimming pool and, many of them, with a private “plunge” pool (small swimming pool) for each chalet or tent. Lodges and chalets are air-conditioned, while the tents may be air-conditioned or fan-cooled.
MalaMala Rattray’s Camp was completely renovated in 2023 and epitomizes classic African elegance. Each of the eight luxurious free-standing suites overlook the Sand River and feature private plunge pools, secluded verandahs and outdoor dining area provide the ideal vantage point from which to enjoy bush cuisine in complete seclusion.
Facilities within the main building include a viewing deck, an air-conditioned library, a small gym with a treadmill, weights and sauna, an attractive bar showcasing the history of the area and an adjoining wine cellar stocked with a wide range of South Africa’s best wines. You will enjoy an intimate game viewing experience with a maximum of four people per safari vehicle.
