The River Club

Classic A deluxe lodge or tented camp, almost all with swimming pools, excellent food and service, large nicely appointed rooms or tents with comfortable beds and tasteful decor; most of the lodges have air-conditioning and the tents are usually fan-cooled.

The River Club is located on the banks of the Zambezi River, upstream from Victoria Falls. It is set among the lush riverine vegetation and the camp has a distinct Edwardian flavor. 11 luxury thatched suites feature screened porches, uninterrupted views across the river, in-room safe, hair dryer, mini-fridge, wi-fi, electric charging outlets and en suite bathroom with flush toilet and large shower. Some of the suites also have their own private plunge pool. The main building, known as the ‘Zambezi House’ includes the lounge, fireplace, dining room and library.  Covered verandahs provide the focal point - a comfortable area to enjoy afternoon tea or relax with a book. The swimming pool has a spectacular view across the river.

Included in your stay are a variety of activities such daily sundowner boat trips, an excursion to the Zambian side of Victoria Falls, a visit to Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, visit to the local Simonga village, nature walks and fishing excursions (available Mar-Nov). Optional activities can also be arranged (additional fees apply).
