Sayari Camp
Sayari Camp is permanently based in the northernmost region of the Serengeti, a gem in the heart of the migratory route. The region is particularly good during the Migration crossings from July through October. The recently renovated camp features 15 tents, including a family suite accommodating five people. There are two separate wings, one with nine tents and the other with six tents. The luxury tents are spacious and decorated in rich copper as an homage to the local Maasai. Each tent features an en suite bathroom with a freestanding bathtub and both an indoor and outdoor shower. Relax on your private verandah overlooking the Serengeti landscape.
The main camp area is enjoyed by both wings and includes a comfortable lounge, dining and bar area, library, information center and a curated curio shop with locally sourced items. A unique feature is the solar-powered microbrewery which offers beer tasting and tours.
In addition to morning and afternoon game drives, optional walking safaris within the Serengeti are also offered (additional charges apply). A cultural visit to the Wakuria villages gives you insight in the traditional ways of life. You will see the vegetable growing program sponsored by Sayari in conjunction with the local community and the produce is purchased and used in the camp’s cuisine.
