Zambezi Sands River Camp

Vintage A lodge or tented camp with very good food and service, and many have swimming pools. The rooms/tents are of good size but perhaps not as large as "Classic" properties. Facilities could be "Classic," but located in a sub-standard game viewing area.

Zambezi Sands River is located near Victoria Falls within the western part of the Zambezi National Park. The camp is 45 minutes by river cruise from the Falls or 1.5 hours by vehicle. Eight luxury tents are built along the river front and feature private decks and plunge pools, en suite bathroom, stocked mini-bar, in-room safe, ceiling fan, hair dryer and four-poster canopy beds. The main camp area includes the dining room lounge and bar and shaded outdoor deck for alfresco dining. Activities include game drives in traditional open-vehicles, game walks, fishing, sunset cruises along the river, visits to the Sidobe Village and local school, and guided tours of Victoria Falls and a visit to the local market. The many channels and islands in this part of the river are perfect for guided canoe trips, which are also included in your stay.
