Itinerary Description

This is our classic East African flying safari where you fly from park to park utilizing scheduled charter flights between the camps. Experience the scenery of magnificent Mt. Kilimanjaro, the rugged Laikipia region and the vast open plains of the Maaasi Mara. You have the option of private vehicles with resident guides in each camp or joining other travelers on shared game drives. The diversity of activities includes both day and night game drives, walking and hikes, and exploring by horseback and camel. Accommodations are all smaller, luxury permanent tented camps. You will have an opportunity for cultural interaction with the Maasai people.

Day by Day Itinerary

Day 01

Arrive Nairobi

Arrive in Nairobi, Kenya. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight Tamarind Tree Hotel.

Day 02-04

Amboseli or Chyulu Hills

Fly by scheduled flight to Amboseli or or Chyulu Hills where you have two full days of game drives in open vehicles, walks with local Maasai, and a visit to a local Maasai village. Perhaps enjoy a sighting of Mt. Kilimanjaro in the background. 3 nights Tortilis Camp or Tawi Lodge or Ol Donyo Lodge.

Day 05-07

Lewa or Mugie or Laikipia

Board your scheduled charter flight to Nairobi and connecting on to your next camp situated in the Lewa or Mugie or Laikipia region. 3 nights Lewa Safari Camp or Mugie House or Loisaba or Sirikoi.

Day 08-10

Maasai Mara

Depart this morning on an onward scheduled charter flight to the Maasai Mara. Enjoy three nights based in this camp. Optional balloon safari is available. 3 nights Sand River Camp or Little Governor Camp or Offbeat Ndoto or Mara Toto Tree Camp or Mara Nyika.

Day 11

Maasai Mara/Nairobi/Europe

Scheduled charter flight from the Mara to Nairobi. On arrival you transfer to your hotel. A private vehicle and driver will be at your disposal for some optional touring or shopping.  This evening you will be transferred to the airport for your overnight flight to Europe. Dayroom: Four Points Sheraton Nairobi Airport.
