Itinerary Description

This popular program is a Group tented safari driving through the parks to Tarangire, Lake Manyara, the Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater. In Tanzania your accommodations include permanent tented camps and the thrill of mobile camping on the Serengeti. In Rwanda, enjoy a private vehicle and guide as you depart Kigali and venture to Rwanda's Volcanoes National Park. You have the option for two gorillas treks or a chance to see the golden monkeys.

Day by Day Itinerary

Day 01

Arrive Kilimanjaro

On arrival in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, you will be transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Enjoy the evening at leisure. Overnight Four Points by Sheraton Arusha.

Day 02

Tarangire

This morning is yours to enjoy at leisure (optional touring can be arranged). After a safari briefing and lunch you will depart on your group safari to Tarangire National Park. Enjoy the late afternoon at leisure. Overnight Lake Burunge Tented Camp.

Day 03

Lake Manyara

Morning game drive in Tarangire. Return to your lodge for lunch. This afternoon you will continue with your guide through the scenic escarpment and your lodge, perched on the edge of the Rift Valley. Overnight Manyara Lakeview Oasis.

Day 04+05

Serengeti

Morning game drive in the park. Lake Manyara National Park is most famed for its tree climbing lions that may be seen (if you are very lucky) sleeping amongst the branches of acacia trees. Enjoy lunch back at your camp. Continue to the Serengeti National Park through the vast African plains. You will arrive at your lodge late afternoon game viewing enroute. Enjoy game drives in the park. An optional balloon ride may be taken next morning. 2 nights Kati Kati Tented Camp.

Day 06+07

Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast proceed to Ngorongoro Crater, game driving on the way. Enjoy a picnic lunch enroute. Full day crater tour. 2 nights Tloma Lodge.

Day 08

Ngorongoro/Kilimanjaro/Kigali

Depart this morning by vehicle to Arusha where you will enjoy lunch before continuing to the Kilimanjaro Airport. Board your scheduled inter-Africa flight to Nairobi an onward to Kigali, Rwanda. On arrival you will be met and transfer to your hotel. Overnight The Retreat by Heaven.

Day 09+10

Musanze - Volcanoes National Park

Following a leisurely breakfast at the hotel and a short drive through the city, depart with your driver-guide and transfer to your lodge in Musanze and Volcanoes National Park. Depart next morning to the park gate. Here you will be met by your tracker and proceed for your first gorilla visit with the day spent tracking the mountain gorillas. 2 nights Ingagi Park View Lodge or Bishop’s House.

Day 11

Kigali

Today you have a choice between a golden monkey trek or experience your second gorilla trek. Following your trek, savor the memories of the morning hike and gorilla encounter with a relaxing afternoon at leisure visiting the farmlands, villages and markets that surround Kinigi and Musanze towns. After lunch you will drive back to Kigali. Overnight The Retreat by Heaven.

Day 12

Kigali/Europe

This morning you will have a Kigali City Tour including a visit to the Genocide Museum and the local market. A visit to the Women for Women Organization can also be arranged. You will be transferred back to Kigali airport to connect on your international flight back to Europe.
