Itinerary Description

This program is ideal for families as it offers fantastic family friendly lodges that offer activities for all ages. Start with four days and nights at Thornybush Private Game Reserve. Three nights in Cape Town gives you time to explore V&A Waterfront, the Cape Peninsula, surrounding coastal area, Franschhoek and magnificent Table Mountain. Finish with a three night stay at Grootbos Nature Reserve, offering wonderful activities and nature experiences.

Day by Day Itinerary

Day 01

Arrive Johannesburg

On arrival in Johannesburg, you will be met and privately transferred to your airport hotel. Enjoy the evening at leisure. Overnight Four Seasons Hotel ‘The Westcliff’.

Day 02-05

Thornybush Private Game Reserve

This morning you will be transferred back to the airport for your scheduled inter-Africa flight to Hoedspruit. On arrival you will be met and transferred by vehicle to your lodge located within the Thornybush Private Game Reserve. Enjoy three full days of game viewing with your private guide and vehicle. 4 nights Thornybush Kamara House or Jaci’s Sabi House.

Day 06

Cape Town

Today you will transfer to the Hoedspruit Airport for your inter-Africa flight to Cape Town. On arrival you will be met and continue on a half-day Cape Town City Tour. At the completion of your tour you will be dropped off at your hotel. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. 3 nights Cape Grace Hotel.

Day 07+08

Cape Town

Today your car rental will be dropped off at your hotel. Enjoy two full days at leisure exploring this beautiful region.

Day 09

Grootbos Nature Reserve

In the morning you will self-drive to Grootbos Nature Reserve, overlooking Walkers Bay. 3 nights Grootbos Garden Lodge.

Day 10+11

Grootbos Nature Reserve

Your days are at leisure to enjoy this coastal area. Beach excursions in an open 4×4, kayaking, guided nature walks and bird watching are included. Offered at additional costs are quad biking, picnics and wine tasting. 

Day 12

Grootbos/Cape Town/Johannesburg

Self-drive to the Cape Town International Airport where you will return your car rental. Depart on your scheduled flight to Johannesburg.
