Itinerary Description

On this safari you will travel through TanzaniaBotswana, Victoria Falls and end in Cape Town, South Africa.  Begin your adventure with a private safari in Tanzania that incorporates the beauty of the Serengeti with three nights on the plains - allowing for two full days of game viewing. Experience the thrill of open vehicle game viewing and water activities in Botswana with an option of visiting Chobe National Park or the world famous Okavango Delta. Your safari is highlighted by two nights in Victoria Falls and ending with four nights/three full days in beautiful Cape Town.

Day by Day Itinerary

Day 01

Arrive Kilimanjaro/Arusha

Depart this evening on your overnight flight to Europe. On arrival connect on your flight to Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your lodge. Overnight Four Points by Sheraton Arusha Hotel.

Day 02

Arusha/Tarngire-Lake Mayara Eco-System

After breakfast, depart by road with your guide to your tented camp situated within the Tarangire-Lake Manyara eco-system. Following lunch at your lodge, enjoy a game drive in Tarangire National Park. 2 nights at Tarangire Ndovu Tented Lodge.

Day 03

Tarangire

Depart this morning with a packed picnic lunch and enjoy a full day game drive in Tarangire National Park, the third largest national park in Tanzania. Overnight Tarangire Ndovu Tented Lodge.

Day 04

Tarangire/Lake Manyara/Ngorongoro

Depart this morning with a packed picnic lunch to Lake Manyara for a game drive. Lake Manyara National Park is most famed for its tree-climbing lions that may be seen sleeping amongst the branches of acacia trees. This afternoon drive through Mto wa Mbu village and continue on to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. 2 nights Lion’s Paw Camp.

Day 05

Ngorongoro

This early morning depart to the Crater Rim and descend for a morning of game viewing on the crater floor. Enjoy a picnic on the crater floor. Return to your lodge late afternoon. Ngorongoro Crater is the largest unflooded, intact caldera in the world. Overnight Lion’s Paw Camp.

Day 06

Ngorongoro/Serengeti

Your journey to Serengeti includes a visito to Oldupai Gorge, the famouse archaeological site where the Leakey’s discovered the remains of Australopithecus, Homo Hbilis and Homo Erectus. Visit a remote Maasai village before continuing to the Serengeti. 3 nights Camp Zebra or Siringit.

Day 07+08

Serengeti

Enjoy two days of game-viewing on game drives in the park. Your days are very flexible where you can take a packed breakfast and leave at sunrise and return to camp for lunch. Or you can depart after breakfast and go for the whole day with a picnic lunch.

Day 09

Serengeti/Arusha/Kilimanjaro/Nairobi

This morning transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled charter flight to Kilimanjaro. Board your scheduled flight to Nairobi. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the evening at leisure. Overnight Four Points Sheraton Nairobi Airport Hotel.

Day 10

Nairobi/Livingtsone (or Victoria Falls)

Early morning transfer to the airport for your scheduled inter-Africa flight to Victoria Falls. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. 2 nights Ilala Lodge or Victoria Falls Hotel.

Day 11

Victoria Falls

Enjoy the day at leisure. Many optional activities you may book for an extra charge including a sunset cruise, white water rafting, elephant back ride, school visit, helicopter flight and more!

Day 12

Victoria Falls/Kasane/Chobe or Okavango Delta

This morning you will be transferred across the border to Kasane. Chobe Option: Continue by vehicle to Chobe National Park. Enjoy an afternoon game activity OR Okavango Delta Option: On arrival at the Kasane Airport you will be met by your pilot and board the aircraft for your scheduled charter flight to your safari camp located in the Okavango Delta. Chobe Option: 3 nights Muchenje Safari Lodge or Chobe Game Lodge. Okavango Option: 3 nights Shinde Footsteps, Mma Dinare or Duba Explorers Camp.

Day 13+14

Chobe or Okavango Delta

Enjoy two days of game viewing activities.

Day 15

Chobe/Kasane/Johannesburg/Cape Town OR Delta/Maun/Cape Town

Chobe Option: Depart this morning and road transfer to the Kasane Airport. Board your scheduled inter-Africa flight to Johannesburg. Onward connecting scheduled flight to Cape Town OR Okavango Delta Option: Board your scheduled charter flight to Maun. Connect with your scheduled inter-Africa flight to Cape Town. On arrival in Cape Town, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. 4 nights Welgelegen Hotel or Victoria & Alfred Hotel.

Day 16-18

Cape Town

Enjoy the days at leisure. Many optional tours are available either as a scheduled group tour or with a private guide and vehicle (highly recommended). Lunch is included in most of the private full-day tours.

Day 19

Cape Town/Depart

Enjoy the morning at leisure. Later today you will be transferred to the Cape Town International Airport.
