Rwanda4 Day | Gorilla Trekking Extension in Rwanda
Our extension includes two gorilla trekking permit's. Mountain gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park (Parc National des Volcans) is by far Rwanda's major international attraction. After the release of the feature film, Gorillas in the Mist, about the late Dian Fossey's pioneering work habituating the gorillas, interest in gorilla trekking reached new heights. There are currently twelve gorilla groups acclimated for tourist visits. Each gorilla group may be visited by up to eight tourists per day.

On arrival in Kigali will be met and transferred to the Laico Umubano Kigali where you will enjoy lunch. Following lunch continue to Musanze (formerly Ruhengeri) situated near the park headquarters of the Volcanoes National Park. Overnight Ingagi Park View Lodge or Sambora Kinigi Lodge or Amakoro Songa Lodge or Volcanoes Virunga Lodge or Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge or Bisate Lodge or Singita Kwitonda Lodge or One&Only Gorilla’s Nest.
This morning you will be collected and driven by road to the park gate at Kinigi for your first gorilla visit. Here you will meet your tracker and the day will be spent tracking the Mountain Gorilla. Overnight Ingagi Park View Lodge or Sambora Kinigi Lodge or Amakoro Songa Lodge or Volcanoes Virunga Lodge or Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge or Bisate Lodge or Singita Kwitonda Lodge or One&Only Gorilla’s Nest.
Second gorilla trek, transfer to Kigali, overnight Kigali Serena Hotel or The Retreat.
Time permitting and optional Kigali City Tour including a visit to the Genocide Museum and local market can be arranged. Departure transfer for your onward scheduled flight.
